Yet another ball

Another ball has come and gone. This time I had two of my brothers attend, so I was accompanied by the two best-looking men in town instead of just the one.
Having a political discussion outside the pizza joint.

Not much to show here!

The fact that one of his buttons is missing makes this even more adorable.

Sunglasses were invented the previous year in 1864.

I can't believe the sun was at just the right angle!

There was a photographer going around taking pictures for the website and he had us pose for this one. I had him take a few with my camera as well.

Raining Gentlemen

Saturday was the 1864 Ball in Virginia City once again. It was foggy and rainy all day, which means I was actually comfortable in my dress (and boots, bloomers, petticoats, and corset). We wandered about town in the afternoon and my hem got nice and muddy - very authentic. I think this may have been the most enjoyable Ball yet. I had my three gentlemen with me, so I was happy.

Because I haven't had much time to sew since I've been back, I simply changed the sleeves on a dress from last year and made NL's burgundy tie. I love this dress with short sleeves.

The guys are adorable in this picture. I don't think that's the look they were going for, though.
